Pamela Maphis Larrick Joins FCBi

Pamela Maphis Larrick has joined FCBi Worldwide, the direct, online and customer relationship marketing arm of Foote Cone & Belding. Her appointment as chairman and CEO is effective immediately.

Larrick had been with MRM Partners, the CRM-focused arm of McCann Worldgroup, for ten years. She had been promoted to chairman of MRM in August 2004.

“I am staying in the Interpublic Group,” said Larrick, when asked about moving on from a company she’d been with for a decade. “[MRM] was a wonderful ride, and I feel very good about what we built there.”

Before taking the reins at MRM, Larrick had been at Ogilvy and Mather Direct, ultimately serving as the general manager of O&M Direct.

She joins FCB at a time of change. In June, Brendan Ryan will step aside as CEO, although he will retain his title as chairman. Steve Blamer will start as the new CEO and president in June. Blamer is the former president and CEO of Gray Worldwide North America.

In an internal memo, Ryan said that while FCBi has significant resources dedicated to digital marketing, direct mail and data management, “We have not really articulated in a clear and forceful way how that should all work around the globe. What assets we have. What assets we need. And importantly, how should that all come together….” Larrick would be responsible for coordinating this, Ryan said.
