Only Teens Prefer Search Engines to Yellow Pages

Except for teenagers, consumers prefer using printed Yellow Pages (61%) to Internet search engines (12%) for locating products and services for purchase, according to research findings from the Kelsey Group.

Teens not surprisingly prefer using search engines (47%), rather than print Yellow Pages (28%). Directory assistance was favored by 28% of teens and 9% indicated they prefer online Yellow Pages.

For individuals with incomes over $75,000, print Yellow Pages are preferred by 51%, compared to 27% for search engines and 15% for directory assistance.
