Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Local online advertising spending in the Albany, NY area will double in 2004, predicted Borrell Associates Inc.

The study, which looked at data for more than 200 areas around the country, concluded that online ad spending in the Albany-Schenectady-Troy market would jump from about $20 million to about $40 million.

According to news reports, factors such as job growth in certain sectors and Tech Valley are behind the Capital Region’s climb in the survey, from 32nd in the nation to 14th, he said.

“For Albany, I think what you have is large business-to-business growth,” Borrell said.
