‘One Tree Hill’ Stages Macy’s Casting Calls

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

“One Tree Hill” fans have a shot at a walk-on role in the series and a weekend with the cast as part of a CW promotion with Macy’s.

The Ultimate Fan Weekend in Wilmington, a collaborative ploy between CW, Macy’s and the Warner Bros. TV Group, offers eight fans an on-air cameo appearance. And they’ll have a few days to schmooze with some of their favorite TV actors on the set of the show in Wilmington, N.C.

People can enter to win a fleeting glimpse of themselves on the small screen by showing up for a regional casting call at one of seven Macy’s stores around the country on Jan. 19 or by sending an audition video to http://www.cwtv.com/macys. “One Tree Hill” cast members also will make the casting calls to sign autographs.

Macy’s is obviously figuring on drawing big crowds to its stores for the events during the post-holiday shopping malaise.

“The show is an undeniable hit with a large following and a lot of momentum, and we offer the stage for a true fan experience in an interactive format,” said Peter Sachse, president of Macy’s corporate marketing, in a statement.
