SpamHaus Admits Corruption!

In an industry wrought with fraud and uncertainty, the one standard is the quest of Spamhaus to maintain scrupulous tactics in their effort to rid the web of "spammers," "spam gangs," "degenerate mailers", or "advertising abusers." No matter how you classify aggressive mailers, Spamhaus sees them as all the same, and even attacks opt-in, whitelisted mailers when the mood hits them right. After years of persecution, a series of mailers fed up with the abuse dealt out by Spamhaus set up a sting operation where they have secured documented proof of kickbacks and bribes. Spamhaus, who has secretly labeled the internal process of taking money to remove SBL listings as "payola for playola" is gonna have to come up with a great excuse to get out of this one.

Networks Admit Collusion!

We had suspected it all along, but evidence has been released that proves the top affiliate networks in the industry are all owned by the same parent Company- Disney! Disney’s plan of owning multiple networks to increase DVD sales has worked famously, as each of the top broker firms have a publishing base that is just different enough to warrant incremental distribution each month. Disney also has lists of every affiliate on every network, and speculation includes them selling the networks and proving true world dominance when they buy out every mailer, banner network and reg path in efforts to control all advertising distribution online.

True Admits Collections!

Three full years after the historic "True Beginnings Adventure", True has finally admitted to short-paying certain networks that ran their campaign. They vehemently denied allegations that they had stiffed partners during the True deluge of July and August 2004, when True was paying as much as $20 per soft registration. Certain industry veterans had long hissed that True shorted them hundreds of thousands of dollars, but True had always maintained these were vicious rumors and lies, fabricated by jealous competitors. Turnover amongst the True management team, angry departures and deposed executives has yielded a wave of True backlash from former employees. Their VP, Business Development from 2004-2006 has penned a book due for November release that chronicles his tumultuous days with the Company, "Black and True."
