News, the Broken Variety: Huge Mergers

Broken Truths, Fried With Butter

So I was wandering the city, asking myself questions such as, "if a person buys an entire street along with every home on the street, so that they own all of the property in any given sector, can they change the addresses on the houses to whatever they want?" I mean, maybe the street name would have to remain the same for some city ordinance or code or something, but can the house numbers be altered without any kind of intervention? How about if a person purchases an empty plot of land, then builds a house on that land and registers it with the city. At that point, if the man wanted his home to be at "123 F*#k Your Lane," would he be entitled to do so? Or if profanity were against the rules, maybe he could use "789 Ear Wax Drive"? I would enjoy the opportunity to be wealthy enough some day to ask these questions in a serious tone, and if given the right answer, build me a house on some land where I live on Ear Wax Drive.

Fixed Lies, Steamed Bland

I think we need a huge merger. Not a "Broken News" type of merger, but a REAL one. Not to say our news isn’t real, but if somebody BIG who is well known in our space bought an also well known somebody big, I think that be kinda fun. Speaking of mergers, I wonder if you took all the present-day Eastern affiliate networks and matched them with all the Western affiliate networks, in aggregate who is doing more revenue? Colorado is of course West, so CPA Empire is part of them, giving them some heat. And I hear those boys at Hydra have some big business cranking, giving the West a second beast. The East has Net Margin on their side, but that probably isn’t too big of a deal, because I’m not counting Datran as a "network," so only the Net Margin portion counts.

Bills Cells Sells, Spoiled on the Counter

Have you looked at your cell phone bill lately? Have you?? HAVE YOU??? Or are you a duncecap who has their bill on auto-pay and maybe looks at it once every three months, sees the three-digit number in disbelief, thinks, "I really need to do something about this bill" and forgets about it until three months later? All you have is a fleeting, "gosh I am spending WAY too much money on my cell bill" thought and then you go about your business? OR, does your Company pay for you phone, rendering you free to call 411 and then have the phone number sent in a text message to your phone for an additional $0.45 and all of those other cute little tricks? My point here is how are we not ALL involved in the mobile billing space? Ringtones, dating, horoscopes, I know they’ve been tried and tried, and a select few have managed to rally past the chargebacks and customer complaints and phone service provider issues and screamers but isn’t there some other way? Some way we can tap tap and keep tapping this market of billions of dollars and billions of users?
