TARGET CORP.: and the Minnesota Twins have signed a 25-year partnership that includes the naming rights for Target Field, the new home of the Twins scheduled to open in 2010. Under the deal, Target will have extensive brand presence at the new ballpark. The Twins and retailer also plan to develop a variety of marketing and promotional programs for guests and will work together to design Target Plaza, a pedestrian bridge and public gathering space connecting Target Field to downtown Minneapolis.

MARBLE SLAB CREAMERY: is supporting its 25th anniversary with a $25,000 donation to The Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation, a charity formed to raise funds for children in need. The foundation was formed by celebrity Nicole Ritchie and Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden. An ongoing mobile fundraising campaign supports the cause. The money raised will go toward the cost to build a playground at Beyond Shelter in Los Angeles. Marble Slab Creamery kicked off the campaign yesterday with an ice cream social for Beyond Shelter families and the media.
