CLEAR CHANNEL ENTERTAINMENT: has formed a partnership with Communities in Schools (CIS), a community-based organization helping children succeed in school and prepare for life beyond the classroom. CCE Charities, Clear Channel’s new charitable division, will work with its network of ampitheatres to provide concerts to raise awareness and funds for CIS.

TOON DISNEY: in collaboration with Cox Communications and local libraries will kick off the Passport to Reading program, designed to promote reading among children. The program launches in New Orleans today with Newberry Award-winning book author Avi, who will make a special appearance and read a chapter from his 2003 bestseller, Crispin: The Cross of Lead. The event is open to the public and all children in attendance will receive their own autographed copy of the book. This program takes place throughout the summer and children receive stamps in their reading passports for every book completed and a certificate for completing the program. Future events will be held in Yonkers, NY with Cablevision and in Davenport, IA, with Mediacom.

FOX: has selected Mobliss, developer and distributor of mobile media, marketing and entertainment content, as its exclusive technology provider of on-air polling for its new television series, The Jury. Viewers will text their verdict, “G” for guilty or “N” for not guilty to 36988 (FOXTV) in response to an in-show call to action. Fox has partnered with Mobliss for its American Idol voting, trivia and other content for the past three seasons.
