GENERAL MOTORS: has increased its sponsorship deal with FLW Outdoors to include title sponsorship of a qualifying fishing tour stop on the Wal-Mart FLW Tour. The date of the fishing tournament, The Chevy Open, has not been determined. Chevy TrailBlazers are the official tow vehicles of the FLW Tour.

XM SATELLITE RADIO: will serve as the title sponsor of the XM Satellite Radio Indy 200 at the Phoenix International Raceway on March 19 as part of a multi-year marketing agreement it made last week with International Speedway Corp. XM will have on-site presence at 25 racing events sanctioned by IRL IndyCar Series and NASCAR at 10 ISC-owned tracks, including the Daytona International Speedway, California Speedway, and Richmond International Raceway.

PROMOWORKS: has rolled out its PromoPIN technology, which tracks and measures individual demonstrator sales performance at events, rather than just attendance, against key measures such as sales, distribution, and on-target execution. The company said more than 50,000 PromoPIN cards were issued to individual demonstrators executing in-store events for Wal-Mart during a trial run and that data has been gathered since late 2004.

MARY ENGELBREIT STUDIOS: has entered a new licensing agreement in which Georgia-Pacific Corp., will produce and distribute Brawny paper towels featuring 15 of the artist’s most popular designs. The agreement marks the first time designer prints will appear on Brawny. It also marks the first partnership between Engelbreit and Georgia-Pacific. The introductory line of nine designs, will be in stores nationwide in March 2005. Four to six holiday designs will follow the initial prints for the 2005 season.

EARTH’S BEST: is teaming up with Sesame Workshop, the non-profit and educational arm of Sesame Street to provide nutritious breakfasts and snacks for children. As part of the new product line, the organic baby food maker will feature On-the-Go O’s Cereal, Yummy Tummy Instant Oatmeal, Crunchin’ Crackers and Sunny Days Snack Bars. All Earth’s Best Sesame Street products will contain the “Healthy Habits for Life” logo, designed to encourage children and their families to establish an early foundation of healthy habits. The new products have started rolling out in select markets.
