GAP, INC.: has named Cynthia Harriss as president of the Gap brand, effective May 2. In her new role, Harriss, 53, will oversee the Gap brand in North America, including Gap Adult, GapKids, babyGap and GapBody. Harriss will report to Gap, Inc. President and CEO Paul Pressler. Harriss joined Gap, Inc. in February 2004 as president of Gap, Inc.’s Outlet division, where she supervised nearly 250 outlet stores across the U.S.

LOEWS CINEPLEX ENTERTAINMENT: appointed Frank Stryjewski as the company’s new senior VP-operations. In his new role, Stryjewski oversees the company’s operations, concessions and facility management. Stryjewski will report to Travis Reid, CEO of Loews Cineplex Entertainment.

INFORMATION RESOURCES, INC.: Chicago, has bought the outstanding shares of Mosaic InfoForce, a retail audit service it formed as a joint venture with retail research firm Mosaic Group, Inc. IRI will rename the venture as IRI In-store Solutions Group and fold it into IRI’s Content Operations Group under President Mark Parise.

KROGER CO.: last week launched Old Yeller dog food nationally via a licensing deal with The Walt Disney Co. The 50-lb. bags will sell for $10 to $12 in Kroger’s 2,532 stores across 24 chains. Kroger will run ads to support the launch, and add two more bag sizes in June. “We believe this brand will appeal not only to original [Old Yeller movie] fans, but to the millions of Americans who share the same kind of special bond with their beloved dogs,” said senior corporate category manage Barry Vance in a statement.

MEREDITH CORP.: New York City, named Carol Campbell director of event and sponsorship sales, a new post at the publishing company to market the Meredith Publishing Group to marketers. She had been director of strategic alliances for More magazine, where she oversaw the More Marathon and More Model Search.
