MCFARLANE TOYS: is gearing up for the launch of a series of action figures based on the popular ABC drama Lost next week at Toys “R” Us in New York City’s Times Square. To hype up the event, actor Jorge Garcia, who plays Hurley on the show, and Bryan Burk, Lost’s executive producer and Todd McFarlane, from McFarlane Toys, will attend a signing event Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the store. The Lost Series 1 action figures feature the characters of Jack, Charlie, Kate, Shannon, Locke and Hurley.
THE NAACP: named DraftFCB, New York, agency of record for fundraising and membership as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People evolves its advocacy work for minorities. DraftFCB will create a multi-dimensional, direct response membership and fundraising program using the theme “The NAACP is Today.”
THE N: the nighttime network for teens, has signed a development deal with actor and recording artist Chris “Ludacris” Bridges his first-ever TV project, Halls of Fame. As part of the deal, Bridges will work as an executive producer on the show, guest star in the series and will write and perform original music for each episode. The series follows students attending the Philadelphia High School of Performing Arts, focusing on two sisters who find themselves up against demanding teachers, cutthroat competition and new relationships.
