BURGER KING CORP.: is extending its late-night hours to 2 a.m. or later Thursdays through Sundays starting June 5. To support it, the company will launch a grassroots campaign this summer in select markets, which will call for sponsorship and consumer activities at music festivals and nightclubs and bar presence, including in-venue advertising, branded bar essentials and distribution of BK Crown cards. The fast food chain also is airing TV spots with Sean “Diddy” Combs in showing the music mogul discussing the late night strategy with an actor playing BKC’s CEO.
TURK & CAICOS ISLANDS: is the new title sponsor of the annual Wall Street Boxing Charity Championships. Turk & Caico will create a Caribbean ambience in the Hammerstein Ballroom when the 2008 championship tourney is held there on Oct. 23.
