KELLWOOD CO.: a designer and marketer of women’s and children’s branded apparel products, has named Michael W. Kramer as president and CEO of its women’s clothing business, effective Aug. 18. In his new role, Kramer will be responsible for the overall growth and direction of the business, including the design, marketing, and development of leading women’s apparel brands such as Vince, My Michelle, Phat Fashions, Sag Harbor, Briggs New York, and XOXO. He will oversee all aspects of business operations, the company said. He joins Kellwood from Abercrombie & Fitch, where he was executive vice president and CFO.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL: and Champs Sports presented a $25,000 check to members of the Linkin Park rock band in support of Music for Relief. Music for Relief was founded in 2005 to aid people affected by the tragic tsunami in Southeast Asia. To date, the effort has raised $2.5 million for victims of natural disasters worldwide.
