Neiman Marcus Posts $3 Million Loss

Neiman Marcus Inc. posted a net loss of $3.1 million for the third quarter, compared to net earnings of $55.4 million in the prior year.

The direct marketer and retailer reported revenue of $810.1 million for the quarter ended May 2, a 25.1% decrease from $1.06 billion last year.

The Dallas company posted direct marketing earnings of $20.4 million for the quarter, a decrease from $28 million in the prior year.

The company reported direct marketing revenue of $144.5 million for the quarter, a decrease from $168.6 million last year.
