New England Business Service Inc., Groton, MA, entered into a joint marketing agreement with WebNow.com, an Internet utility company to offer a free online Web site creation and hosting service for small businesses across North America, as well as its own 2 million customers.
“Our goal is to be a complete small business solution,” Joel Hughes, senior vice president of corporate channel marketing at NEBS, said in a statement. “Our new service, which is currently operational, will help them create a professional, custom Web site in just minutes. These small business Web sites will contain no unwanted advertising and will remain free for as long as they remain hosted.”
The start-up package provides the small business with a home page, links page, calendar page, business card bulletin board and matching e-mail. Customers will have the option to upgrade their sites with additional Web pages, customer domain names, custom graphic uploads and productivity tools that allow the user to automate communication, create online presentations and more.
