MTV Spreads Content to Video Sites

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

MTV Networks is pushing its video content to several video entertainment sites that will stream video clips from various MTVN channels.

In the next several weeks, Dailymotion, GoFish, imeem, MeeVee and Veoh will start making MTV video clips accessible to their visitors, who can embed the clips on their own blogs or social networking sites. The content will cover a range of MTV shows, including clips from Comedy Central’s popular “Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

“By partnering with these premium online video destinations, we’re giving our audiences even more opportunities to interact with our content and each other online,” said Greg Clayman, MTVN executive vice president of digital distribution and development, in a statement.

MTVN will also be pushing more video content out through its 300 branded Web sites.

MTVN has also been extending its brand wirelessly, with distribution deals currently in place with 80 mobile carriers.
