SABMiller’s Milwaukee’s Best Light beer is sponsoring the national tour of the “World’s Largest Poker Table,” with a goal to deliver the brand to a broader national audience.
The tour is part of the DVD premiere of poker tutorial WiseGuys on Texas Hold’Em. The tour kicks off today in Los Angeles and runs throughout the summer making 11 stops in such places as Chicago, New York City, Phoenix and Dallas before winding down with a 150th birthday bash in Milwaukee for Miller (now part of SABMiller).
The poker table is 30-feet long by 12-feet wide and can seat up to 10 players at a time and is open to the public. The cards are designed at 39 inches tall to match the large scale of the table.
Milwaukee’s Best Light is also the sponsor of the 36th World Series of Poker, which ended last week in Las Vegas.
The two-disc DVD, WiseGuys on Texas Hold’Em, is available in stores today. The tutorial is headlined by three wise guys— Pastore (The Sopranos), Frank Vincent (A License to Steal) and Vinny Vella (Casino)— provide tricks of the trade to anyone who wants to improve their poker game. The complete terminology of the game, strategies, and increasingly complex lessons that build upon one another helps players take the pot at any level.
