Miller and NBA Team to Find Next Pro Player

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Miller Lite and the National Basketball Association Development League are partnering in a challenge that offers participants the chance to be a pro basketball player.

Through July 9, participants can submit videos that tell their story and showcase their court skills to NBA.com/GoPro. Visitors to the site can rate the competition.

The three-minute video must include three elements: their personal story of why they want to play professionally, play time in a pick-up or organized game and their signature moves.

Thirty players, to be called the Miller Lite 30-Pack, will be chosen to attend the Official NBA Development League Pre-Draft Camp presented by Miller Lite. Judges will pick 29 of the 30-Packs with the final member selected by an online vote.

Promotions for the challenge will be posted on MySpace and YouTube, the companies said.

The program winds down with an NBA TV show that will air in September telling the stories of the 30-Pack.

Mikki Moore, the New Jersey Nets forward, will be the spokesperson for the Miller Lite Go Pro Challenge. He will appear in TV and radio spots supporting the promotion.
