Max & Erma Promotes International Menu with Online Game

The American restaurant chain Max & Erma’s is using an online games to help introduce a summer menu featuring international fare.

The menu, called The Passport to International Adventure and available during the summertime, will feature items from six different countries. Any guest who buys a menu item from the Passport to International Adventure menu gets a game piece to participate in the online contest.

Under the Get Away Giveaway instant-win game, six grand-prize winners will each receive a $6,000 American Express gift card to visit a country of their choice. Fifty first-prize winners get $250 AmEx gift cards.

Other prizes awarded include Ipods, Max & Erma’s promotional cards and Coca-Cola beverages. The promo at MaxAndErmas.com ends Sept. 9.

“Our research shows that consumers are interested in seeing ethnic foods on the menu and our new selections bring spice, flavor and excitement to the table,” said Erin Reckner, senior director of marketing for Max & Erma’s, in a statement. “On top of the new menu items, the interactive contest will be great fun and every participant will win some sort of prize.”

Max & Erma’s has more than 100 company-owned and franchise casual dining restaurants across the country.
