Marriott Foots Honeymooners’ Tab

Marriott International, Inc.’s guest loyalty program, Marriott Rewards, is offering a new incentive by offering to pick up honeymoon costs for couples who book their wedding reception at a participating Marriott or Renaissance hotel on a Friday or Sunday between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2006.

To qualify for the offer, couples must book their weddings between Nov. 1, 2005 and March 30, 2006. Marriott will reward points spent on the reception food and beverages. For example, for a reception that costs $15,000, couples will receive 150,000 Marriott Rewards points—enough to cover six nights at certain hotels, including the JW Marriott resort Cancun or JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes.

A $20,000 reception will earn couples 200,000 Marriott Rewards points redeemable for a seven-day Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean, round trip rail tours on the Orient Express or seven nights at any three Marriott resorts. A reception that costs $25,000 give get couples 250,000 Rewards points, good for a week-long package at any Marriott International hotel in the U.S. and Europe, frequent flier miles and 25% off a Hertz rental car.

Couples will receive points when they sign a contract before their reception takes places. In addition to hotel accommodations, Marriott rewards points can also be redeemed for theme park passes, retail merchandise, car rental and frequent flier miles. Internet materials will support.

The offer begins Sept. 20. Marriott will launch a microsite with details in September at Marriott.com/rewardingweddings.com.
