Man Gets Prison for Spamming

A Colorado man yesterday was sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to tax evasion and falsifying e-mail headers.

Thirty-five-year-old Edward Davidson of Louisville was also ordered to pay $715,000 to the Internet Revenue Service. He is to report to prison in May.

According to federal prosecutors, Davidson used subcontractors to pitch products common to spam, such as watches and stocks.
