My Twinn Presents Tiered Pricing
Custom doll specialist My Twinn rewarded early shoppers once again this year in its Holiday 2008 catalog with discounts tiered by order date. The marketer, which is a subsidiary of The Parent Company, has used similar pricing incentives for at least the past two holiday seasons. The book features two young girls on the front cover lying under a Christmas tree, each holding their own personalized doll with matching pajama outfits. Additional incentives of 10% off online orders placed by a certain date (presented inside a red Christmas ornament graphic) and 90-day BillMeLater deferred payment are touted on the cover. The details of the tiered pricing are listed in the center of the catalog. Buyers who ordered dolls by October 6 received a price of $129 and will receive the doll within four weeks of ordering. The price rises from there to a maximum of $169 for orders placed December 2-8 (rush shipping applies for delivery by December 24). A step-by-step process walks customers through the process of ordering a doll from choosing the outfit to selecting the doll
