Rodale’s List Portfolio

Rodale Inc. has named ALC Data Management to oversee its list portfolio, excluding insert programs. The appointment includes the Rodale Whole Life U.S. master file, a list with more than 7.6 million names that identifies subscribers to Rodale’s magazines and its product buyers. The master file is enhanced with data from numerous sources, including InfoBase, Experian, Equifax and E-Tech. Magazine subscriber lists, various book buyer files and Canadian names are available separately. Among the magazine titles that Rodale publishes are Backpacker, Best Life, Men’s Health, Prevention and Runner’s World. Inquiries for telemarketing will be considered. Millard Group Inc. formerly managed these lists.

TechTarget Postal and E-mail Files

MeritDirect has been appointed manager of TechTarget’s postal and e-mail master files and individual lists. The largest, TechTarget postal master file, contains 555,442 records. “TechTarget serves more than half a million executives through its Web-based, magazine subscription, e-newsletter and event products,” said Jeff Moriarty, vice president of list management at MeritDirect, in a statement. TechTarget offers e-mail, Canadian and international master files in addition to postal and e-mail lists from its publications. Other files provide records from Storage Magazine and the Security Wire Digest e-mail newsletter, among others. Counts for these other lists range from 31,080 to 296,495. Direct Media Inc. was the prior list manager.
