The Puerto Rico Tourism Co. and Lifetime Television are promoting a new film set in Puerto Rico, with a trip to the island.
The two-hour film, “Christmas in Paradise,” stars Charlotte Ross and Colin Ferguson in a story of two bereaved families who meet aboard a Caribbean Christmas cruise ship and end up experiencing the magic of the holidays and romance through the unique sights, customs and people of Puerto Rico.
The winner of the Holiday in Paradise sweepstakes will be announced live during the film premiere on Dec. 15, at 9PM on Lifetime. The sweeps ends Dec. 14. The winner will receive a three-day, two-night trip for two, including airfare, an oceanfront junior suite at Gran Melia Puerto Rico (where the movie was filmed), a spa treatment, airport transfers and tours of the El Yunque rainforest and Old San Juan. Registration is at http://www.mylifetime.com. The Web site also features visuals of the Island and interviews with the movie’s cast members.
In addition to the sweeps, the partnership includes online and on-air promotion.
“Our goal from the onset was to create something truly unique,” said Jonathan Sandak, director of partnerships at Lifetime Networks, in a statement. “The inclusion of the online sweepstakes goes further than a standard giveaway as it promotes the island’s benefits, teases the upcoming movie and drives movie tune-in as the sweepstakes winner will be announced live during the premiere.
