Lake Group Manages Lycos E-mail and Postal
Lycos has chosen Lake Group Media Inc. to manage its e-mail and postal files, effective Nov. 19. The postal master file contains 8.8 million postal addresses, and the e-mail master file includes 7.9 million records.
Consumers provided their own data when they signed up for services at the Lycos portal, such as e-mail, newsletter or a sweepstakes offer, or for specific special interest sites such as Quote.com. They provide interest, demographic and postal information at that time. At that point, they can either leave a box checked or uncheck a box to receive offers from “Lycos Network Partners.”
The specific files include Lycos Sweepstakes Opt-in, Lycos Tripod Opt-in, Lycos Shopping Opt-in, Lycos Search Opt-in, Lycos Raging Bull Opt-in, Lycos Quote.com, Lycos Music Opt-in, Lycos Angelfire Opt-in, Lycos Annak Opt-in, Lycos Calendar and My Lycos Opt-in, Lycos Communities Opt-in, Lycos Gamesville Opt-in, Lycos HTMLGear Opt-in, Lycos U.S. E-mail Address Master File and Lycos International E-mail Address Master File.
There will soon be postal files available for each of the e-mail lists. A Lycos International Postal Master File is on the market now, along with the master file.
Selections on the e-mail lists include hotlines, interest and demographic information. The postal lists have been appended to produce demographic information.
Prices on the e-mail lists range from $75 per thousand for the master file to $150 per thousand for specific sites. The international e-mail list is $200 per thousand. The postal file is priced at $125 per thousand.
