Eastman Kodak Co. is leveraging its longtime alliance with the Walt Disney Co. for an on-pack sweeps celebrating Disneyland’s 50th anniversary.
The sweepstakes will award trips to the original Disneyland in Anaheim, CA and the newest park in Hong Kong. (Atlanta-based Kodak was Disney’s first corporate partner for the Hong Kong park, which opens Sept. 12.)
Six Kodak products carry in-pack codes that consumers enter online. Grand prize is a trip for four to Anaheim and then to Hong Kong, as well as a Kodak EasyShare digital camera and EasyShare printer dock kit. Ten first-prize winners get the camera and printer dock kit; 20 second-prize winners get a Kodak camera, film and processing for a year.
All sweeps entrants can print up to eight coupons from the sweeps Web site, www.kodak.com/go/disneyland50th. The sweeps runs May 23 through Sept. 30 via Eric Mower & Associates, Atlanta. A 45 million-circulation FSI drops June 5; print and online ads, P-O-P and packaging support.
Kodak’s campaign piggybacks Disney’s own worldwide “Happiest Celebration on Earth” anniversary campaign. “For years, consumers have used Kodak products to capture their ‘picture perfect’ experiences at Disneyland,” said Eric Mower Senior Partner Tom Armentrout in a statement. “To help Kodak pay tribute to its long-standing alliance with Disneyland, [the agency] created this promotion to entice customers to experience–or relive–the magic of [Disneyland] California, while celebrating the debut of Disney’s newest park in Hong Kong.”
