Kessler Renamed to Postal BOG

President Obama has appointed U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors member Alan C. Kessler to a second term that will expire Dec. 8, 2015.

Kessler, who was first appointed by President Clinton in 2000, served as chairman of the BOG from Jan. 2008 to Jan. 2009. He currently serves as co-chair of the board’s governance and strategic planning committee and served as vice chairman of the board from 2005 until his election as chairman in Jan. 2008.

An attorney and partner in the international, Philadelphia-based firm of Duane Morris LLP, Kessler has served on numerous commissions, boards and authorities at the federal, state and local levels, including the 1992-93 Presidential Transition Team and the 1994-98 Presidential/Congressional Commission on Risk Assessment and Risk Management.
