Kellogg’s Targets Military Kids with On-Pack Promo

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Kellogg’s has launched an on-pack book offer targeting children of military personnel.

People who buy two boxes of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies, Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini Wheats Bite Size and Raisin Bran at Target stores or military commissaries will receive a free Simon & Schuster children’s book. Offers include “Someday” by Alison McGhee, “Daddy’s Lullaby” by Tony Bradman and “Please, Baby, Please” by Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee.

Kellogg’s is handling the promotion with United Through Reading, a non-profit organization that helps military families stay connected with kids through reading.

The promotion runs through September in commissaries and through October at Target stores. On-pack advertising supports the offer.
