Online marketing services provider J.L. Halsey last week reported a $2.1 million fourth quarter profit on $10.8 million in revenue, up from $364,000 in profits on $7.7 million in revenue for the same quarter last year.

The results reflect the acquisitions of Web analytics firm ClickTracks and Web content-management concern Hot Banana Software, which took place in August of 2006, the company said.

J.L. Halsey’s other companies are e-mail marketing services firms EmailLabs and Lyris Technologies.

On-demand services accounted for 64% of the company’s revenue for the fourth quarter of 2007 while licensed software sales accounted for 20% and maintenance and services accounted for 16%, the company said in a release.

“Our results for the quarter reflect continued organic growth for our email marketing software offerings, where revenues were up 23 percent year-over-year. We are especially pleased with the organic growth of our hosted email marketing software offerings, which increased by 30 percent year-over-year,” said Luis Rivera, chief executive officer of J.L. Halsey, in a statement.
