Investor Group Purchases Alvion

Alvion Inc., an e-commerce and data management firm, has been acquired by an investment group lead by Robert K. Sher, who was named CEO. Other investors include Gary Schmidt, who was named president, and Richard S. Trenkmann, who took the title CFO. The company has been renamed Alvion LLC. It will remain based in Cape Coral, FL.

Sher and Schmidt bring extensive experience in the data industry to Alvion. Sher was founder and CEO of Primis Marketing Group; founder and CEO of KnowledgeBase Marketing Inc.; president of Donnelley Marketing; president of May & Speh Direct; founder and EVP of Marketing Electronics and EVP at Metromail.

Schmidt was most recently general manager of Hyphos360. He has worked for Experian, BMG Direct and has run his own consulting practice. Schmidt has been an advisor to Alvion since 2006.

Trenkmann has a 30-year career in private equity investment, mergers & acquisitions and the merchant banking business. He has managed Triad Partners, which provides financial and strategic advice to middle market businesses, since 1991.

Vil Ezerins, who founded Alvion Technologies, will remain in an advisory capacity. He retains an equity interest and is a partner in Alvion LLC.

Alvion offers the ListKey Solutions Suite, which automates delivery of real-time list counts and data.
