Internet Ad Revenue Grows 15.2% in First Half

U.S. Internet advertising revenue for the first six months of 2008 were $11.5 billion, a 15.2% increase over $10 billion last year, according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau.

Search and display-related advertising continue to set records. Search revenue totaled almost $5.1 billion for the period, a 24% increase over $4.1 billion in the prior year.

Display-related advertising, including banners, rich media, and digital videos totaled nearly $3.8 billion for the period, a 19% increase over $3.2 billion in the prior year.
