Infographic: What Works for Social Sharing: B2B vs. B2C

Compendium, a content marketing platform, looked at the social sharing statistics for more than 200 companies and shares some best practices for B2B and B2C companies. Among the findings are:

  • 73 percent of blog administrators are also managing the company’s social media channels, an indication that businesses are maturing in their approach to content marketing
  • 11-15 words is the ideal message length for B2B tweets, while 1-5 words is ideal for B2C tweets
  • Using question marks is correlated with fewer clicks for LinkedIn and Twitter, regardless of whether the company is B2B or B2C
  • Exclamation marks are good for LinkedIn but bad for Twitter
  • The top and bottom of the hour is when B2B content on LinkedIn and B2B and B2C content on Twitter is read most
