Infographic: ‘Anatomy of the Online Lead Gen Industry’

Posted on

ReviMedia, an online lead-generation firm, just released an infographic summarizing the trends and developments in the lead-generation industry. It offers an overview of the industry, along with pointers on how marketers can improve the practices and quality of the industry.

Here are some of the points made in the infographic:

  • Lead generation comprises: collecting contact information for related prospects and having salespeople contact those prospects in hopes of closing a sale
  • 60 percent of marketers consider lead generation a top priority, but 74 percent say getting high-quality leads is their biggest challenge
  • In 2011, the online lead-gen market raked in $1.5 billion in revenue, a 15 percent increase from the revenue in 2010
  • Choosing quantity over quality will yield too many poor leads and too much wasted time
  • Trends include: m-commerce, social and personalization, apps and automation

ReviMedia also published a press release to go along with the infographic. It offers some more perspective on how marketers can ensure quality, increase transparency and product good content, among other things.
