Hyundai Puts Teams on Hunt to Locate Teammates

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Hyundai Motor America is out with a challenge that has groups of teammates attempting to locate each other through a single photo of a collage of the team’s facial features.

On April 30, 16 finalists, who have never met and know nothing about one another, will be divided into groups of four. Each team member will receive a four-piece collage comprised of photos of their teammates forming one composite face. The first team to correctly identify each member by full name and city and state of residence will win four 2007 Hyundai Elantras.

The competition challenges individuals to master the Internet and use “smart” thinking and the need for “discovery” to identify their teammates, Hyundai said.

Players can enter the Mash and Seek challenge at MashAndSeek.com by April 20.

After the first four days of the competition, each team will be quizzed on Hyundai trivia twice per week. The first team that finishes the quiz with the highest collective score will receive one clue to help locate teammates. The clues to identify teammates will range from geographic locations to first names. The remaining teams get the same clue 24 hours later. The members of the three teams that do not win will receive a $500 Amex card.

“Hyundai is excited to host such a fresh and creative game that tests human investigative nature and desire for connection,” said Kathy Faith, national manager of experiential marketing, Hyundai, in a statement.

Non-finalists also get a chance to win a Hyundai Elantra by answering the quizzes correctly online. The challenge is handled in house.
