Hyatt Resorts Roll Out Adventure Webisodes, Sweepstakes

Hyatt Resorts is launching a series of Webisodes that follow five families in their quest for a 50-night stay at the hotel chain.

The six-episode series chronicles the adventures of five families, including a western rodeo at Tamaya, kayaking at Lake Tahoe and surfing in Kauai. Viewers can watch the action and vote for their favorite contestants for a chance at the same grand prize.

Votes can be submitted at HyattAdventureChallenge.com through Sept. 15. The family with the highest percentage of votes and one home viewer will each receive 50 free nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide.

People can earn additional entries by signing up for Hyatt’s e-newsletter, sending the link to a friend, voting on videos or directing other people to the Web site by posting the link on a blog or message board.

Winners will be revealed Sept. 28.

The “Ultimate Adventure Challenge” launched in April in which families with children ages nine to 12 submitted 90-second videos that showed their passions for adventure and exploration. Each entry had to explain why the family should be selected to participate.

Hyatt narrowed its pool of entries to 20 semi-finalists before selecting the five families.

The goal behind the challenge was to inspire families and to take on new and build brand awareness. The Webisodes show viewers how each family brings a different perspective on adventure travel.

Online marketing supports the promotion, which Launchfire administers.
