Hyatt is encouraging consumers who may have foregone summer travel plans to plot a fall getaway to Hyatt Resorts property with a triple play of perks.
Hyatt is running its “Three for Free” promotion in collaboration with American Express around its properties in the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. From Sept. 1 through Dec. 19, Hyatt Resorts guests can avail themselves to a free night’s stay, a room upgrade and full breakfast for two daily.
People who use an American Express card also receive an additional amenity upon check-in in the form of a food or beverage bonus valued at $80.
Guest can earn the free night if they reserve three to five nights at one of 19 Hyatt Resorts participating in the promotion.
The objective is “to drive vacation traffic during the fall period,” Scott Seed, Hyatt Resorts director of business and leisure marketing, said. “This really does give people reason to travel and experience Hyatt Resorts.”
An online campaign promoting the “Three for Free” deal commenced in mid-July with ads on the “Travel & Leisure” Web site and other travel sites.
In a stunt to pump up the fall promotion, Hyatt is staging a faux Olympics competition today between three couples at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal with multi-medal swimming legend Mark Spitz as referee.
The couples were chosen in a sweepstakes Hyatt ran online earlier this summer. They’ll compete in three events: speed-packing, bed-making and breakfast preparation to win three free nights in a Hyatt Resort.
