H&R Block Hands Out 25,000 Tissues Packs During Tax Season

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

H&R Block is giving customers something to remember the brand during tax season—tissue packs.

The company is distributing 25,000 personalized tissue packs in 21 offices in Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota. The giveaway is meant to keep the brand top of mind after the initial appointment.

H&R Block replaced its typical chocolate bar handout with the tissue packs to create a longer-lasting interaction with consumers, the company said. The giveaway runs through April.

AdPack, USA, an out-of-home marketing company, handles the promotion.

“Tissue pack marketing is proven effective in the financial services industry,” said Steve Jacobs, president, AdPack USA, in a statement. “Unlike flyers or direct mail, the advertisement usually is not discarded until the tissues run out, giving it guaranteed repeat exposure.”
