HIT Entertainment is releasing two new direct-to-video titles July 13 with consumer promotions.
The studio will release High Noon in the Bathroom, the third video based on the Nick Jr. preschool series, Rubbadubbers. The video contains five animated episodes and will be promoted via a multi-platform campaign. Brand and product awareness will also be generated by Scholastic’s 10-city Reading All Stars Minor League Baseball promo this summer, in which Rubbadubbers will be featured on banners in ballparks and DVDs will be awarded in prize-package giveaways.
Promotional support at retail includes a special on-pack offer for a complimentary video, Children’s Favorites Volume 1, containing a selection of episodes from HIT Entertainment shows; cross-trailers showcasing other HIT Entertainment properties; cross-merchandising of Rubberdubbers home videos, Scholastic and Simon & Schuster books and Hasbro toys, including promotional product inserts and retail flyers; and P-O-P and counter displays.
Additionally, HIT Entertainment will release a new Barney video, Now I Know My ABCs, which includes music and activities for preschoolers. The video will be supported by a sweeps delivered to consumers through Barney video and audio inserts, on-sleeve stickers and on www.barney.com (http://www.mcb3.com/click.asp?x=16571.3338.980231 ) . The sweeps dangles approximately $20,000 in prizes including 10 grand-prize scholarships to Kindermusik; 250 first prize Barney Music Fun Packs containing a Fisher-Price CD player, a Barney DVD and a Barney audio CD; and 250 second-prize Barney books from Scholastic. Cross-trailers on upcoming videos and in-store displays support.
