Hilton HHonors Offers Free Concert Tickets to Thank Members

Hilton Hotels Corp. is rewarding members of its loyalty program with free concerts for qualifying hotel stays this summer.

The hotel chain has teamed up with live music company LiveNation to offer HHonors members free, general admission lawn tickets to any Live Nation amphitheatre concert of their choosing when they stay at a Hilton family hotel through Aug. 31. Available concerts feature John Mayer, Counting Crows, the Steve Miller Band, Stevie Wonder and Snoop Dog, among other choices.

To qualify, members register at HiltonHHonors.com/RockandRollSummer before their stay. Hilton will then send an e-mail with a redemption code good for a free general admission ticket to any concert. Members can also buy additional tickets when they redeem the code.

There are no limits on the number of free tickets members can earn, the company said.

Hilton Hotels launched the offer to thank members for their loyalty. The HHonors program is approaching a membership base of 25 million since its rolled out in 1987.

“With the economy right now and everyone watching their dollars, we thought it was a perfect way for HHonors members to get a free something that they could enjoy this summer,” Eileen Hanson, vice president of marketing strategy and communication for Hilton Hotels Corp., said. “This is a value add.”

The company anticipates tens of thousands of its members will take advantage of the offer.

The incentive is the latest from the Hilton HHonors program designed to enhance member’s travel experience, Hanson said.

“We’re continually looking for ways to enhance [people’s] lives with more than just a hotel stay,” she added.

Hilton Hotels Corp. is sending e-mails to its loyalty program members to promote the offer and publicizing it on the microsite, as well as through its monthly newsletter.
