Groupon Is Developing DealAdvisor to Help Merchants Set up Flash Sales on Groupon Goods

Posted on

GrouponFor all its recent public shaming, maybe Groupon still has a trick or two up its sleeve. One of those tricks might be DealAdvisor, software the daily-deals company is developing to help small retailers set up flash sales on its Groupon Goods site. DealAdvisor will enable business owners to run sales for a fixed period of time. The software, which is in early testing and is set to be available next year, aims to bring more merchandise to Groupon Goods, which the company is pushing to grow going forward, despite the smaller margins compared with those of running daily deals. DealAdvisor will help project how much of a product Groupon can sell, set an appropriate price and have the items sent to one of its warehouses, and coordinate sales and shipping to customers.
