Google is Top Parent Company, EA Online is Stickiest Brand

The most recent figures released by Nielsen Online show that Google was the top parent company in October, while Electronic Arts Online was the stickiest brand.

  • Google attracted 128.7 million users in October, with each user spending an average of 1:57:26 on its Web properties.
  • Microsoft followed behind with 121.8 million users, with each spending an average of 2:35:43 on its sites.
  • Yahoo! was third with 117.7 million users, with each spending an average of 3:22:08 on its pages.
  • AOL LLC was fourth with 88.0 million users in October, but boasted the longest average time spent on its sites with 3:34:41.
  • News Corp. Online, which includes MySpace, was fifth with 78.1 million users, followed by eBay with 60.5 million users, and InterActiveCorp, which includes Ask.com, with 60.1 million users.
  • Electronic Arts Online was the stickiest brand in October, with the average user spending 9:40:46 on its pages. It attracted 12.7 million users to its site during the month.
  • PokerStars.com was second with its users spending an average of 8:50:57 on its site during October. FullTiltPoker.com followed behind with its users spending an average of 7:44:40 on its site.
