GNC in Licensing Deal to Market Food, Apparel

For the first time in 75 years, General Nutrition Centers is licensing its brand name to market a robust line of branded consumer products.

The products will be produced though an exclusive agreement with IMG Licensing, a division of global sports and entertainment company IMG.

The products will include food and beverage items, fitness and wellness equipment, apparel, health and body products and fitness accessories.

GNC is the world’s largest specialty retailer of nutritional products. The firm has more than 6,600 retail locations around the world where it sells nutritional products, including vitamin, mineral, herbal and other specialty supplements, and sports nutrition, diet and energy products.
