Frito-Lay Reprises Snackable “Note” Packs

Frito-Lay is back with its Snackable Notes Variety Packs so parents can send kids back to school this fall with a handwritten note of love or encouragement on the packaging.

Frito-LayAdding a new twist this year, for every note written on a chip bag and submitted at www.SnackableNotes.com through Oct. 15, the brand will make a $1 donation to Feed the Children, an organization Frito-Lay has supported for about 10 years. For those not purchasing in store, at the website a “Note Generator” tool can be used to create a note and submit it, also generating a donation.

“Just in time for back-to-school season – the busiest time of year for Frito-Lay Variety Packs the specially-marked packaging has been converted to prominently feature our partnership with Feed the Children,” Rasheda Boyd, senior director of marketing at Frito-Lay North America, says.

A little star power is on display today as Black-ish actor Marcus Scribner is surprising families in need at an event in Los Angeles. He will spend the day distributing food and essentials to families in need, helping students pick out new school supplies, and sharing positive words of encouragement—including writing a few of his own notes on the bags.

Boyd added that the program is also supported by point-of-sale, social media content and PR.
