Fox’s ‘Waitress’ Film Serves up Mother’s Day Promo
Fox Searchlight Pictures is teaming up with theaters nationwide to give mothers a sweet treat on their special day.
On May 13 (Mother’s Day), the film company will show special screenings of “Waitress” in 100 theaters with a gift bag promotion.
As part of the Easy As Pie Mother’s Day promotion, patrons will receive gift bags that include a “Martha Stewart Living” magazine, TrueShine Lipcolor by CoverGirl, products from Nivea, Phyto, Dial and a Sara Lee Simple Sweets six-inch pre-baked pie.
Participating theaters and ticket information can be found at MovieWithMom.com. Also on the site, visitors can send an e-card inviting their mothers to the screening.
“Waitress” stars Keri Russell and Cheryl Hines in a story of a small town waitress stuck in a lousy marriage that finds her only solace in baking pies. When a new doctor comes to town, the woman is inspired to turn her life around into something satisfying. The film opened yesterday in select theaters.
