Firm Offers Linens, Bags Online and at Boutique Stores
Nicole Chiala and Kristina De Corpo both studied graphic design at the University of San Francisco. Then, Chiala went off to London to work in publishing, while De Corpo headed to New York to toil in advertising.
But in 2004, they both decided they wanted a different destiny. The pair headed to Los Angeles, to begin a new venture, creating and marketing a line of bed linens and handbags with prints based on nature.
The resulting company, Amenity, markets both at retail and online, targeting upscale ecologically minded city dwellers. So far, Amenity is pulling in about $350,000 in yearly revenue and is hoping to at least double that figure by next year.
