Equifax Teams With eHNC for Fraud Prevention

Equifax, the Atlanta-based credit bureau has teamed up with eHNC, an e-commerce applications service provider to help online merchants more accurately predict Internet bankcard fraud, verify the integrity of billing and shipping addresses on Internet orders, and expand internationally.

Under the agreement, Equifax will incorporate its global name and address data for almost 300 million consumers will be incorporated into eHNC’s eFalcon Internet fraud prevention system to assist in verifying billing and ship-to addresses, reportedly improving the predictive performance of its fraud system.

In addition, eHNC will become a value-added reseller of Equifax’s fraud detection systems.
