Westport, CT-based Bonnie’s Style Press is hoping a new Web site will help the stationery company reach a wider consumer audience.

Founder Bonnie Marcus launched the business, which currently only sells to retailers, in 2002. She was previously a fashion designer and an event planner at New York City’s 92nd Street YMHA. While at home waiting for her son to be born, she came up with the idea of launching a line of cards, invitations and other stationery products.

Over the next two years Marcus managed to get her cards into 1,000 stores worldwide, including Barney’s and Saks in the U.S., and upscale retailers in other English speaking countries including England, Scotland and South Africa.

She was able to hook up those retailers by exhibiting at the National Stationery Show in the Javits Center in New York each year. In addition, she has also got her products onto home shopping channel QVC
