European multi-channel portal operator Vizzavi has selected e-centives Inc. to handle its Internet and mobile commerce and merchandising services across Europe.
Vizzavi is a joint venture between Vodafone Group plc, a mobile network operator and Vivendi Universal, a media company. Vizzavi operates portals across Europe delivery aggregated content and services through PCs, mobile telephones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and interactive television.
E-centives is an Internet direct marketing company in Bethesda, MD, which is also an infrastructure provider for e-commerce.
In the multi-country agreement, e-centives’ service will allow Vizzavi’s users to compare features and prices for thousands of products and locate and purchase them from participating online merchants. They can also compare prices in stores via their mobile phones or other devices. Merchants will be able to serve targeted ads to users.
