Four local celebrities will meet face to face this Sunday at the Dunkin’ Donuts Turbo Ice Challenge for Charity in Maine touting Dunkin’ Donuts’ new Turbo Ice beverage.
The event takes place at the Maine Mall parking lot where local radio DJs and two other guest stars will tackle an eight-station obstacle course against each other and contestants picked from the crowd. For joining in the fun, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $1,000 to the favorite charity of each local celebrity.
The Challenge for Charity is part of an all day Dunkin’ Donuts event called the Turbo Ice Challenge. The obstacle course will be open to the public and includes a bean bag toss, soft hurdles, basketball shot and tire cross, and ends with a 25-yard sprint on a pedal powered go-kart. The Turbo Ice Man will be on hand to race people on the obstacle course and challenge them with Turbo Ice trivia.
Free samples of Turbo Ice, Dunkin’ Donuts’ new beverage consisting of coffee, espresso, cream and sugar poured over ice, will be available throughout the day. Turbo Ice scratch cards will also be handed out and one lucky player could win the grand-prize choice of a kayak or mountain bike. Other giveaways include T-shirts, water bottles and Turbo Ice-branded flying disks.
