Dunkin’ Donuts is rolling out a sampling program to more than 200 Northeast health clubs to promote its new Latte Lite drink, a 0% fat product.

Starting in early January, Dunkin’ Donuts will visit participating International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) in four markets—, Springfield, MA, the Hartford/New Haven, CT— Upstate New York distributing free coupons for the Latte Lite. Some 300,000 IHRSA health club members will receive coupons under the promotion.

The Latte Lite, available hot or iced, is made with real espresso, skim milk and Splenda No Calorie brand sweetener. Dunkin’ Donuts designed the new beverage to give health conscious consumers a latte that doesn’t leave them feeling weighed down.

“We recognize the fact that an increasing number of consumers are looking for healthy drink options and the Latte Lite provides all the taste without all the fat,” said Robin Taylor, Dunkin’ Brands assistant manager, sales promotion, in a statement.

Dunkin’ Donuts will promote the Latte Lite in stores through the end of January. The product will become a permanent menu item for the Canton, MA-based chain.
